About me
I’m a senior full-stack software engineer on the Core Product Experience team at Wistia.
From 2014 to 2021, I worked as a programmer at Basecamp. I started on the Core Product team and moved to the Security, Infrastructure, and Performance team in 2017. I helped build Basecamp 2, Basecamp 3, and HEY, and helped maintain all Basecamp products.
I served on the Ruby on Rails core team from 2018 to 2021. I co-authored Active Storage and Action Mailbox and contributed to all other parts of the framework. I’m passionate about the web and open-source software.
I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2016 with a BS in Computer Science. I served as a founding officer of the Pitt Computer Science Club.
I’m Deaf and the son of two Deaf parents. I have progressive bilateral hearing loss, wear two hearing aids, and use American Sign Language.
